The Moon

I look at the full moon from my balcony
One moonlit night when work and fun is done.
I always do when I need a bit of company.
I seek none;for me the moon is the one!

Shinning bright above and stars are her friends.
The clouds share the glory, floating beside their queen .
Heaven, its spaciousness to her,it lends.
She basks and shines and shed tears in between.

Late at night, she gives the world her perfect face.
Entranced, we stare at the moon in the distance.
In the morning the sun will be there to replace
The moon in the sky to give us a big grin and glance.

Agatha Lai

Another Day

The shallow streams awake and dance
beneath my glance
and flow along.
to evensong.
The sudden swoops of jays amaze
and hold my gaze
as wild boughs sweep
across new peep.
Another day has passed without
the screams , the shout
of crazy crowds
in lazy shrouds.
