Round and round the circle we go
From
babyhood to adulthood ;
Trying to work things out , to live life
The way christians should .
Sometimes we feel there're miles
Between God and us ; oh yes !
We go to church ,
We read the Scriptures
We sure feel good and easy
Temptation's out of the way !
But not so fast , don't rejoice so soon !
The world's such a jolly place .
It's hard to tell right from wrong.
Sometimes life's not all black and white .
Men' ain't branded Mr. Good or Mr. Bad .
One wrong step ; there you are !
We fall into the snares , being human .
But we keep on coming back to you , Lord.
Round and round the circle we go!
Sometimes we ask for forgiveness ;
We remember our prayers.
We love our neighbours ( not too bad ! )
We even forgive our enemies !
And then comes temptation , we give in .
But we keep on coming back to you , Lord.
Round and round the circle we go!
In our most difficult moments ;
We pray , we ask for help
We sure love God very much ; oh yea!
Then we pass over our tribulations.
We are grateful to God .
We sit back and relax.
Oh! Satan comes and we sin
And then , we repent .
Jesus always forgives us
Seven time seventy-seven
And so...
We keep on coming back to you , Lord.
